Design Your Own Pickleball Paddle: How the One-of-One Works

iMPACT Pickleball

Until recently, getting a paddle with your own design on it meant ordering dozens. The One-of-One changes that. It is a single custom paddle, built to your design on the same production line as our runs for brands and teams, proofed before it is made and shipped to your door. This is how it works, step by step, in plain terms.

What a One-of-One is

A real paddle, not a novelty. It is built on one fixed platform so that a single paddle can be made properly: a hybrid shape with a standard handle, a 16 mm polypropylene honeycomb core, a T700 carbon fiber face, a full face custom print with a textured playing surface for spin, a black edge guard, black grip, black neck band and a standard black grip cap. The face can be printed on a natural finish, where the carbon material shows, or on a custom color base for bright, opaque artwork. You can use the same design on both faces or design each face separately.

Those are the same materials and construction we use on performance paddles for brands. The platform is fixed so that the paddle can be made one at a time; everything that needs a production quantity, other shapes, thermoformed construction, colored components and packaging, is a production run option.

What it costs and what is included

$160, with free U.S. shipping. Sales tax, where applicable, is calculated at checkout. Included: the paddle, a photorealistic production proof of your paddle with the artwork applied, and shipping to a U.S. address. Because it is made specifically for you, a One-of-One is final sale; the Production Terms cover the details.

Step 1: Your design

Start with anything you have the right to use: your own artwork, a photograph, a logo, a team or club design, a piece of lettering. Upload a PNG, JPG or WebP in the Build Room. Drag it to position it on the paddle and use the zoom slider to scale it. Two rules make the difference between a good paddle and a great one: let backgrounds and patterns run past the edge of the face, and keep text, logos and faces inside the dashed line, which is the safe area the edge guard will not cover. The artwork guidelines go deeper if you are designing from scratch.

Step 2: Your choices

Face color: natural, where the material finish shows, or a custom color as the printed base. Print coverage: full print edge to edge, or a placed logo or graphic. Same design both sides, or design each side. That is the whole decision set on purpose. The preview on the page updates as you go, and on a phone a floating thumbnail keeps the render in view while you scroll.

Step 3: Checkout

Enter your name, email and phone, attach your artwork if you have not already, add any notes about the design, and buy the paddle. Payment is collected at Stripe Checkout. Your full build sheet, the record of every choice you made, attaches automatically.

Step 4: The proof

Before anything is made, we prepare a photorealistic production proof: your paddle, your artwork applied, the finish and components shown as they will be built, and send it to your email for approval. Look at three things: nothing important is near the edge, the colors read the way you want on the base you chose, and the throat, where the face narrows to the handle, looks right. If something is off, say so and we adjust it. Manufacturing begins only after you approve the proof.

Step 5: Made, then shipped

Your paddle is built on the production line alongside the runs we make for brands, with the same materials, inspection and QC. Delivery is estimated at approximately 3 to 4 weeks after you approve the proof; manufacturing and transit times are estimates rather than guarantees. It ships to the U.S. address you give at checkout.

Things people ask

  • Can I use a picture of my dog? Yes. Photographs print well on a custom color base. Give the photo room to bleed past the edge.
  • Can I put a brand's logo on it? Only if you have the right to use it. You confirm that when you order, and we do not print artwork you do not own or have permission for.
  • Is it good enough to play with seriously? It is a 16 mm T700 carbon control paddle with a textured face, which is the specification of many performance paddles. It is not certified for sanctioned tournament play, because certification is a process that applies to production models, not single paddles.
  • Can I get two? Each One-of-One is one paddle. Order two if you want two.

When one becomes many

This is the part people do not expect. A One-of-One design carries forward. If your club wants ten, that is a Samples First order. If your company wants fifty, that is a production run, and it opens the options that needed quantity: other shapes, thermoformed construction, colored edge guards and bands, retail packaging. The build sheet from your single paddle is the starting point, so nothing has to be redesigned. From one paddle to a production run walks up that ladder.

Common questions

How much does a custom designed pickleball paddle cost?

A One-of-One is $160 with free U.S. shipping. Sales tax, where applicable, is calculated at checkout. It is a made-to-order paddle, so it is final sale.

How long does a One-of-One take?

What kind of artwork can I put on my paddle?

Anything you have the right to use: your own art, photos, a logo, a design for a team or a club. Upload a PNG, JPG or WebP, position it on the paddle in the Build Room, and keep important elements inside the dashed safe area.
